Localization touches every layer of your codebase. This training gives your engineering team the technical fundamentals to build localization support that scales with your codebase and language count.

Topics include:

• Locale codes: What BCP-47 is, why en vs en-US matters, and how locale tags flow through your stack
• Translation keys: Naming conventions, organization strategies, and the traps that make keys unmaintainable at scale
• Deployment approaches: Different models for shipping translations (bundled, over-the-air, hybrid) and when each makes sense
• Vendor features: What your TMS can actually do for you, from translation memory to pseudo-localization to automated QA

Formats:

• Live session with your engineering team, tailored to your stack and codebase
• Recorded training for onboarding, so every new engineer gets the same foundation
• Ongoing sessions on a regular cadence as your team and codebase evolve

Training can follow guidance from a Localization Audit or stand on its own.

Switching your TMS doesn't have to mean repeating the same mistakes with a new vendor. In fact, sometimes the problem isn't the vendor at all. If your codebase wasn't built with an understanding of how a TMS actually works (translation memory, terminology management, automated QA), a new platform won't fix what's broken. We make sure the migration is also an upgrade.

What's involved:

• Workflow review: We audit your current implementation and talk to your dev team to find the gaps. Most dev teams don't know what their TMS can do for them, so they architect around problems that are already solved.
• Data migration: Custom scripts to transfer translation memories, glossaries, and project data so nothing gets left behind.
• Codebase updates: SDK swaps, integration rewiring, and configuration changes across your codebases. We restructure where needed so your code actually takes advantage of what the new platform offers.
• LSP coordination: We work with your existing or incoming language service provider to make sure the transition is seamless on their end too.

Not every migration needs all of these. We scope it to what your move actually requires. Typical timeline is 3-4 weeks for 1-3 codebases.

Most companies can't justify hiring both a localization engineer and a localization PM full-time. With us, you get both.
